IB 372: Ecology and Evolution The third and final core course of the honors program is offered during the Fall to Juniors within the program. The general overview includes an integrated study of ecology, population genetics, and evolution. This final course serves to tie together conceptual themes and techniques from the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels of biology. As with the other IB Honors courses this class meets for lectures three times a week as well as a weekly laboratory component that offers both field work and an introduction to computational techniques with genomic databases. The ecology component is taught by Dr. Jim Dalling and the professor for genetics is Dr. Stewart Berlocher. |
